Camp Inspire -

March 16, 2019

Operation Refuge is a non-profit that addresses community needs through two flagship programs: Mother’s Pantry and Camp Inspire, a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) summer camp for girls. We strive to create life-changing learning experiences for girls in 5th-12th grades and aim to ignite their passion for STEAM. According to a study by Microsoft, over 75% of girls who participate in hands-on STEAM learning activities outside the classroom feel empowered.

This year, we are expanding our STEAM opportunities to empower youth of all ages and genders to participate in STEAM learning during our Pi Day Fun Day event on Saturday, March 16 from 10am-1: 30 pm at Starfish Family Services in Inkster. Our event will enrich students comprehension of STEAM concepts while celebrating a fun mathematical holiday.

Volunteers will be needed with registration, snack table, and other fun activities.
